CARW ANNOUNCES 2012 CRE DEAL OF THE YEAR AWARDS

10/3/2012 - The commercial real estate community gathered last night, October 2nd, at Vogel Hall in downtown Milwaukee to honor the year’s top industry professionals and best brokered deals at the annual CARW CRE Awards.

The event also kicked off a year-long celebration commemorating CARW’s 20th year as the voice for commercial real estate in Wisconsin.

The prestigious CARW Deal of the Year recognitions are awarded in six categories: Industrial, Investment, Mixed Use, Office, Redevelopment, and Retail. Adam Connor ¦ NAI MLG Commercial
Adam is a vice-president in the retail segment at NAI MLG Commercial. He focuses his efforts on the sale and lease of grocery and power anchored shopping centers, development, and tenant representation. Adam has been with NAI MLG Commercial since 2006. Adam has been actively involved with CARW since 2006. He has served on the Membership Committee during that time, the last two years as the Chair, and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for CARW.

Adam received NAI MLG Commercial’s “Rookie of the Year Award” in 2007 and has been among the top performers in the firm since that time. Adam has extensive brokerage experience for clients including Continental Properties, United Properties, Roundy’s, Cole Real Estate, West Development, Kwik Trip, and Outlook Development.

Chad Vande Zande ¦ CenterPoint Properties

Chad Vande Zande joined CenterPoint Properties in 2006 as Senior Vice President of Investments and is responsible for the Company’s investments in southwest Wisconsin and Northwest Region. In addition, Mr. Vande Zande provides strategic support for the Los Angeles investment team. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Vande Zande worked for Grubb Ellis Company for 15 years as a principal. While at Grubb Ellis, Mr. Vande Zande was responsible for various cross sections of the industrial real estate market including sales, leasing, tenant/buyer representation, and both regional and global multi-market corporate representation.

In 1989, Mr. Vande Zande graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Matt is the Director of Community Development for the Village of Menomonee Falls. During his 17 year tenure with the Village, Matt has streamlined the permitting process, revised the Commercial and Floodplain Zoning Districts, oversaw the formation of 12 Tax Incremental Finance Districts, and worked to provide growth opportunities for companies such as Kohl’s, Harley Davidson, Strong Capital Management, and Froedtert Health.
